The Twist Tie

Charles Burford invented the machine that puts twist ties on bread bags by adapting another machine his father invented that tied up hay bales. Burford was born in April 1932 in Lindsay, Oklahoma, and founded his company, Burford Corp, in Maysville, Oklahoma, where they still sell industrial machines that put twist ties on bags today.
